(IBEW) Local 494 has endorsed Jodi Habush Sinykin for State Senate in District 8, saying she “will bring long overdue common sense leadership back to the 8th District.”
“Joining with our statewide representative body, the IBEW Wisconsin State Conference, Local 494 of the IBEW is proud to publicly support Jodi’s campaign for State Senate,” said Local 494 Business Manager and Financial Secretary, Dean A. Warsh. “Jodi will bring long overdue common sense leadership back to the 8th District and by electing her, will stop a gerrymandered supermajority in the State Senate. That is why we are proud to throw our support behind her and urge everyone to get out and vote in the April 4th special election.”
Habush Sinykin and her husband have owned and operated a union factory for nearly 30 years. As State Senator, she says she will fight to ensure Wisconsin workers are properly trained, protected and compensated.
“I feel extraordinarily grateful for this endorsement and for all of the support I’m receiving from organized labor, elected officials, former candidates, and from people throughout the 8th Senate District,” she said.
Local 494 represents electrical professionals throughout Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington,
Ozaukee, Fond Du Lac, Sheboygan and Dodge counties, along with Wisconsin political
campaign professionals and the Wisconsin workers of Colectivo Coffee Roasters.
