Jodi for State Senate Endorsed by IBEW Wisconsin State Conference

February 6, 2023 – Whitefish Bay, WI – The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Wisconsin State Conference has endorsed Jodi Habush Sinykin for State Senate in District 8.

“The State Senate currently holds a gerrymandered supermajority here in Wisconsin and that in no way benefits the working people of Wisconsin,” said IBEW Wisconsin State Conference President Dean A. Warsh. “We are long overdue in having a representative in this district that puts the interests of working people and families ahead of partisan politics and that is why on behalf of our members across Wisconsin and in the 8th District, we proudly endorse her campaign for State Senate.”

Habush Sinykin, a lawyer and small business owner, is running for the seat previously held by former Senator Alberta Darling, who retired last year. In addition to support from organized labor, Habush Sinykin has received endorsements from environmental and women’s rights groups, and political leaders including Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin, State Senate Minority Leader Melissa Agard, State Representative Deb Andraca, and former State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski.

The election is April 4.

The IBEW Wisconsin State Conference serves as the statewide representative body of more than 15,000 members of the IBEW. It works to secure legislation and policy on their behalf while promoting the interests and issues of organized IBEW workers in multiple sectors throughout Wisconsin.
